I am always looking for an opportunity to find the humanity inherent in the objects around us. I am drawn to the beauty of error and imperfection because I see them as forms of freedom. Immersing my writing and visual art in an underlying method, which is to seek and apply the most available human element, allows for a connection to be made with the viewer. Many of my expressions come from the appeal of textures, whether they are on a door or evident in someone’s personality. A promise of the unexpected is what consistently fuels my curiosity.
Having a sense that there is life in everything and wanting to understand that life as much as possible is why I create. I am sharing space with the realm of possibility—there is nothing I find more energizing than exploring it.
